Kaldur decides to take her to Atlantis to meet King Orin and have her live with his birth mother and adoptive father. She wore a skintight, light yellow tank-top that revealed her midriff, with aquamarine hemming in a pattern resembling a low neckline and around the edges. Her hair was worn in a pixie cut with longer bangs framing her face. ![]() When the unnamed girl's powers manifested in "Early Warning," her newly formed gills prevented her from breathing above water. Tula resembled a Caucasian teenager with ruddy hair, aquamarine eyes and a slender build. These thoughts weigh heavily on Kaldur in "Quiet Conversations" as he takes a new meta-teen girl to Atlantis. Theyre still (mostly) on the same side and theyre definitely True Companions but they arent all working together anymore. Later he brings in Artemis to help him, and Nightwing acts as their handler. Recently, Kaldur has participated in a secret gathering with Batman, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Oracle, Robin (Tim Drake), and Miss Martian to defeat The Light, manipulating his friends and teammates in the process. Aqualad, while initially presented as having gone off the deep end morally, is in fact a deep cover agent infiltrating Black Mantas organization. Tula, an Atlantean he previously had feelings for, died in battle years ago, and Kaldur also discovered his father is the DC villain Black Manta, sworn enemy of the former Aquaman, King Orin. Aquaman, Tempest, Lagoon Boy and Aqualad. ![]() Of course, Kaldur's experience leading the Justice League's covert-ops team of young heroes demonstrated he was up to the task of becoming the new Aquaman, but it hasn't exactly been a smooth transition.
